Ether man's wife to appear on Dr. Phil

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The wife of accused rapist Robert Howard Bruce , also known as the Ether Man will appear on the Dr. Phil Show Monday afternoon.

Bruce is accused of raping at least ten women in New Mexico.

Investigators have dubbed him the "Ether Man" because they say his way of attacking the victims was to subdue them with ether soaked rags.

In addition to the alleged rapes in New Mexico, Bruce is accused of raping woman in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado.

He was recently sentenced to 64 years behind bars in Colorado for trying to blow up the home of a police officer in Pueblo. 24 years of the 64 year sentence Bruce is serving is also for two attempted sexual assaults while in Colorado.

He is awaiting trial here in New Mexico for the alleged crimes here, but it's unclear when he will head this way to face the charges.

This is a small part of what Bruce's wife will share on the talk show interview. Bruce's wife tells Dr. Phil she discovered a mask, guns, a knife and a list of women's names in their home.

Bernalillo County District Attorney Kari Brandenburg has told News 13 that her office anticipates Bruce could likely confess to more rapes here in New Mexico.

The Dr. Phil show will air from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. Monday on KRQE-TV Channel 13.
