ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The state medical board has reinstated the medical license of the Santa Fe surgeon who pleaded no contest to driving drunk , when she slammed into a car killing a 4-year-old girl.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports Deborah Aaron’s license was reinstated after she complied with a substance abuse treatment.
Aaron pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor d-w-i in august 2011 in santa fe.
That's when she hit a car carrying 4-year-old Yuliana Vasquez .
The girl died.
Prosecutors agreed to drop the vehicular homicide charges saying they couldn't prove Aaron caused the crash.
The state board suspended her license after she initially failed to enroll in a substance abuse treatment.
The New Mexican reports Aaron now lives in Arizona.
