ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Officials are investigating the death of a worker at Shamrock Foods in Albuquerque.
Authorities say John Wubker was injured over the weekend near Atrisco Vista and I-40, and later died from his injuries.
There is no word on what caused the incident.
A Shamrock Foods Company Spokesperson, Sandy Kelly, expressed the companies loss.
“John Wubker was a dear member of our associate family who will be greatly missed," Kelly said. "John was always a bright spot in the day with a smile on his face and something positive to say. His uplifting attitude and dedication to the company were positive influences on everyone around him.We extend our deepest sympathies to John’s family."
OSHA , or the Occupational Health and Safety Bureau, is investigating.
"We are working with OSHA as it conducts its investigation into the accident. In the meantime, the area where this tragedy occurred is secured and out of commission,” Kelly said.
