Concrete truck causes power outage

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - A concrete truck took down a power line on Northern Boulevard near 8th and 10th streets in Rio Rancho.

The line was down and was still active, causing Northern to be completely shut down in that area for hours. It is now open.

The power line downing has caused a small power outage with not estimated number of customers affected. PNM has a crew on the scene to fix the line and restore service.

Authorities said there were no injuries from the power line problem.

The line sparked a couple of small grass fires but Rio Rancho Fire Department firefighters were able to stop those fires quickly.
