Car drives into home's living room

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An elderly woman said her brakes went out right before she slammed her car into a house in northeast Albuquerque Saturday.

The owner of house of was out of town in New York.

So neighbor Susie Dilts snapped photos of the damage and informed the owner.

"We need some plywood to try and patch it," Dilts said while on a phone call with the home's owner.

Several onlookers came to see and photograph the spectacle.

The Albuquerque Fire Department was able somewhat patch up the hole left by the car.

There is a house sitter that will stay at the house until the owner comes back.

The 82-year-old woman driving the car refused to be transported. Her daughter only suffered minor injuries.
