ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Family and friends are preparing for a prayer vigil Wednesday in memory of the five family members shot to death over the weekend allegedly at the hands of a 15-year-old boy.

Nehemiah Griego is charged with shooting to death his father, mother and three younger siblings inside their south valley home.

Wednesday night’s vigil will be held at Calvary of Albuquerque. The church is where one of the five victims, Nehemiah's father Greg Griego, served as a pastor for many years.

Bernalillo County sheriff's investigators say Nehemiah confessed to killing his family with multiple weapons.

Greg was the father of 10 children.

Calvary Church officials have been working with the remaining children and other family and friends, to provide support during this difficult time.

In a video posted online, the senior pastor welcomes the public to Wednesday night’s vigil from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church on Osuna Road northeast.

Pastor Skip Heitzig also talks about Greg's contributions to the community.

"Greg served as pastor helped many people…worked as chaplain and helped many get on their feet and integrated into society,” Pastor Heitzig said.

Nehemiah is in a juvenile facility on a no-bond hold.

He will be tried as an adult on five murder charges.

Each murder charge carries a mandatory 30-year sentence, but because he is a juvenile, the judge may have more discretion when it comes to sentencing.

Also the Griego family is holding a life celebration service on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary of Albuquerque.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Griego Family Memorial Fund at New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union.

Arrangements are being made by French Mortuary.
