BCSO Deputy Daphne Garcia passes away

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Bernalillo County sheriff's department has heard some sad news Monday.
Deputy Daphne Garcia, who was diagnosed with cancer late last year, has died.
Deputy G arcia was featured in a KRQE News 13 report back in January when fellow deputies were selling wristbands to help pay her medical expenses.
She was diagnosed last November with melanoma which spread to her major organs.
The sheriff's department confirms deputy Garcia died Monday afternoon.
