ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Many public schools in Albuquerque have not had fire-safety inspections for years, some of them possibly never, an investigation by KRQE News 13 has revealed. Investigative reporter Larry Barker discovered the Albuquerque Public Schools district abruptly pulled out of an agreement allowing city fire inspectors to check the schools. Since he began asking questions, however, the number of schools being inspected has increased.
