Rose Parade float honors eye donor

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The memory of a New Mexico man is being honored for giving the gift of sight to two people.
John Nuñez died of a heart attack three years ago and was listed as an eye donor.
On Wednesday the New Mexico Lions Eye Bank presented a floral portrait--a floragraph--of Nuñez.
"My dad was an amazing man," Jessica Montoya said. "He was very talented. He had a heart of gold and he was a very loving person."
The portrait is made entirely out of flower seeds.
It will be one of 72 portraits of eye, organ and tissue donors featured on the Donate Life Rose Parade float during the annual parade on New Year's morning in Pasadena, Calif.
