WILLIAMSBURG, N.M. (KRQE) - A heavy storm in Sierra County Friday caused several weather related problems for the surrounding communities.

The southern part of the county from Williamsburg, N.M. to Las Cruces was affected by major rain, according to Emergency Manager Donna Sanchez.

Water at one point surged over curbs and got close to homes, but the water receded before that happened.

Truth or Consequences, N.M. was affected by the storm in the form of water and power outages.
