ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The second snowstorm has hit northern New Mexico in a week.
It left quite a bit of snow in the area around Raton.
Wind-whipped snow reduced visibility on Interstate 25 around Raton, and in CapulĂn, heavy winds blew the snow across U.S. Highway 64
Taos Ski Valley also got some fresh snow. Crews are out there are hoping to start their ski season Thanksgiving weekend.
And cameras out in the resort town of Red River caught some snow on the ground.
About 2 inches reportedly fell on Bobcat Pass in that area.
By afternoon the only trouble spot was State Road 72 between Raton and Folsom where the New Mexico Department of Transportation was discouraging travel due to high winds and zero visibility.
Additionally, as the storm and clouds move farther east, a hard freeze is forecast for much of northern and eastern New Mexico.
Last week's storm hit the same area but spread farther dusting Santa Fe and the Sandia Mountains above Albuquerque.
