PECOS, N.M. (KRQE) - A 2 ½ acre fire is currently burning eight miles east of Pecos, New Mexico.
Officials said the lightning-caused Hartman Fires is slowing and no structures are threatened as of this time. Fire managers are monitoring and confining the fire to containment lines.
Smoke may be visible from Interstate 25 in the area, Pecos, Upper and Lower Colonias, Rowe, San Juan, San Jose, San Ysidro and other surrounding communities.
