Runaway blaze razed forest and homes

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (KRQE) - The Cerro Grande Fire began as a controlled burn on May 4, 2000, and by the next day had begun its race through swaths of forest and hundreds of homes while forcing 18,000 people to get out of the way.

KRQE News 13 anchor Deanna Sauceda returned to the community to see how children and adults have worked to restore the forest areound Los Alamos.
