ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Department of Game and Fish has moved more than 30 bighorn sheep from Wheeler Peak near Taos to an area near the Manzanos.
They were trapped, processed and shipped by trailer to Abo Canyon Pass.
The Burlington Northern Santa Fe railway Company has put up fencing in that canyon preventing the sheep from the tracks.
Game and Fish officials hope that means the sheep will able to thrive there.
