ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico will receive stimulus funds to develop green jobs in the state.

New Mexico's two U.S. senators, Democrats Jeff Bingaman and Tom Udall, say the state will share approximately $10 million to support job training programs that will help dislocated workers find jobs in expanding green industries.

The grant comes through the U.S. Department of Labor's Energy Training Partnership Grant Program in two categories.

New Mexico and six other states will share $4.99 million aimed at training and preparing workers in energy efficiency building construction and retrofitting.

New Mexico is among five states that will receive a total of $4.84 million to create a national electrician solar training initiative to train workers in utility-scale solar installation.
