GALLUP, N.M. (KRQE) - The most badly contaminated uranium mine on the Navajo Nation will be getting attention from the EPA, which has approved a $44 million clean up plan.
Nearly 1.5 million tons of contaminated soil will be removed from the Northeast Church Rock Mine near Gallup.
Work will begin next summer and take several years to complete.
