SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Smoke can be seen from a wildfire burning 13 miles south of Los Alamos.
The U.S. Forest Service says the San Miguel fire is burning in the Bandelier Wilderness. So far, the fire is 44 acres and is burning pinon, juniper and ponderosa pine.
It's in a remote location and is not threatening any sensitive resources or visitor areas.
Fire personnel are monitoring it.
