EPA, Energy Department recognize UNMH

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy recognized University of New Mexico Hospital with the Energy Star Building Label on Friday.

The Energy Star is the mark of superior energy performance and identifies UNMH as one of the most efficient buildings in the nation.

“Being recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is a tremendous validation of the dedication by every person at UNM Hospitals to energy conservation, being good stewards of their finances, and reducing their carbon footprint.” CEO and founder of Energy Education Dr. William S. Spears said.
