ALBUQUERQUE (AP) - The Albuquerque school district will receive a $397,619 federal grant for counseling programs in elementary and secondary schools.
The money can be used to hire school counselors, school social workers, school psychologists or child and adolescent psychiatrists to expand the range, availability, quantity and quality of counseling services.
The funds come from the U.S. Department of Education.
The grant was announced by Democratic U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman.
