ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - It may not be easy for students to get a semester worth of English in a weekend after the rules Albuquerque Public Schools made Tuesday night.
The Albuquerque Journal says that at a school board committee meeting Tuesday night, it was decided new rules should be in place for students using charter schools. The committee decided that students would only be able to get credit for a charter school class if APS does not usually offer the class.
This comes after one student paid a Charter School $200 last year and took an entire semester of English in one weekend for class credit.
The Journal says the new rules will most likely be official Friday when the school board approves them.
