ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The six-year graduation rate for Hispanic students at the University of New Mexico has seen its highest jump in a decade.
School officials say the rate grew to 44.6 percent this year, a boost from 41.6 percent in 2011.
Administrators credit the rise to a variety of new programs and student organizations aimed at helping Latino students with financial aid and tutoring.
About 30 percent of the UNM student body is Latino.
