ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Some of New Mexico's best teachers were honored Friday with Golden Apple awards for being extraordinary in what they do.
This year seven elementary school teachers were honored.
They come from all over the state including Albuquerque, Bloomfield and as far north as Tierra Amarilla.
Many of them were introduced by their students.
Along with recognition, each teacher gets a new computer and $4,000 to use in their classroom.
Profiles of the winners will air during KRQE News 13 at 4 p.m. next week.
