ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - What happens when you mix third, fourth and fifth graders of all different levels in one classroom? You get very cultured students and a Golden Apple Award-winning teacher.
That's what Jeff Tuttle's kids at Monte Vista Elementary School are doing in a very special classroom that includes special-needs kids.
"They learn their own strengths," Tuttle said. "They learn that everybody has strengths, and they work together.
"That's a very important feature in our society, to learn how to work with anybody."
Obviously Jeff knows how to teach anybody. He's certified to teach elementary school plus special education.
And now he has a Golden Apple Award to show just how special a teacher he is.
