New Mexico State University is getting proactive and going high tech when it comes to notifying students about the H1N1 flu virus.
The school is teaming up with the Everbridge Emergency Notification Company to keep students updated about possible emergencies.
Since the start of the semester, the program has been used to relay campus safety messages.
Now, it's being set up to communicate information about H1N1. Students and NMSU employees can now opt-in to receive the messages via e-mail, text or cell phone.
