Voters boot APS President Martin

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Voters Tuesday ousted school board President Mary Lee Martin, according to unofficial returns from the Albuquerque Public Schools and Central New Mexico Community College elections.

Challenger David Robbins defeated Martin 56-44 percent for the Albuquerque Public Schools District 6 seat.

Incumbent Paula Maes won reelection in District 5, and Lorenzo Garcia carried District 3. David Peercy won easily in District 7.

In the CNM contests voters elected Robert Matteucci, Deborah Moore, Blair Kaufman and Michael DeWitte to the board, according to unofficial returns.
