CNM enrollment tops 2009 record

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Central New Mexico Community College has begun the fall term with a record number of students.

The Albuquerque community college says it had 28,590 students enrolled when classes began Monday, an all-time enrollment record.

The previous high was set in fall 2009, with 27,999 students.

Registration continues for full-term courses through Sept. 7.
