ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque car dealership was seeing double after police say one of its employees figured out a way to deposit his paychecks twice.

On Saturday Roberto Gonzalez faced a judge on fraud charges for allegedly stealing from his employer, Garcia Honda.

According to a criminal complaint Gonzalez took advantage of the new mobile check-deposit feature where a deposit is made by snapping a photo with a smartphone and sending it in.

Investigators reported Gonzalez would make one deposit by phone and then another in person at local Walmarts.

And they say he did that three times doubling his pay for the last three months until a manager found out and called police.
