ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A woman who demanded money from an Albuquerque bank Friday left empty-handed and is now wanted for attempted bank robbery.
The FBI reports the woman walked into the Wells Fargo Bank branch at Montgomery Boulevard NE and Wyoming at about 11:50 a.m. She placed a small box on the teller's counter, demanded cash but fled without any.
She was last seen headed west from the bank on foot.
Witnesses described the Anglo woman carrying a small black purse as being in her mid 20s, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. She had short blonde hair and was wearing a pink UNM sweatshirt, sunglasses and dark leggings.
Anyone with information on the crime or suspect can contact the Albuquerque FBI office through its 24-hour number (505) 889-1300 or the tips section of the FBI website .
