SANTA FE (KRQE) - Two people have been charged with murdering a 75-year-old man at Santa Fe Senior Housing Center.

The body of a man believed to be 75-year-old George Ortiz was found in Ortiz’s burning apartment at the Villa Hermosa Senior Center just after noon Tuesday.

Hours after his body was found police picked up Jeannie Sandoval and Anthony Yepez, who were driving Ortiz’s car in Espanola.

Santa Fe police have charged Sandoval, who is believed to be related to Ortiz, with one count of murder.  Yepez was also charged with an open count of murder.

Police said they think Sandoval was related to Ortiz.
