ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man they believe set a car with a woman inside on fire.
Around 1:15 p.m. deputies responded to a domestic dispute and found the burnt car with a woman inside.
Firefighters were able to pull the badly burned woman out but sources say she may not survive because most if her body is burned.
Deputies say the car was set on fire intentionally and are searching for the man they think did it.
The search brought authorities about 10 miles away down in the south valley near Broadway and Bobby Foster but deputies have not found him.
Deputies have not released the relationship between the woman and the man.
A group of teens on their bikes spotted the flames.
”Just a giant fire…you could see some metal but just a bunch of flames. A firefighter got close, and then had to turn away,” Matt Grossman said.
Fourth Street is closed about a block north of Alameda as officials investigate.
Deputies have not released the name of the victim or of the man they're searching for.
