Albuquerque (KRQE) - It's been two months since KRQE News 13 dug up the police lapel video that shows three Albuquerque cops crossing the line. But, those cops continue to collect their paychecks, and one of them has cost you money in the past.

It is the lapel video APD did not want you to see.

Officers Connor Rice, Ronald Surran and Shad Solis caught on camera tasing, beating and stepping on suspects back in May.

KRQE News 13 had to fight, even filing a lawsuit to get the video in August. Two months later, there is still a lot up in the air.

Officer Rice, who tased a man in the video and then hit a suspect on the head three times before high fiving another cop, was charged with aggravated battery. The city says Rice is still on paid suspension, but his name has been removed from the city's payroll list and no one could say why.

Then there is Officer Ronald Surran; he put his boot on the suspects face. The 16 year APD vet is on active military duty and the department can't interview him to complete their internal affairs investigation into the officers actions.

Also there is Shad Solis, who kicked in an apartment door without a warrant and then tased a man, he is on desk duty. While APD has not decided if he will be punished, it is not the first time he's been in trouble.

The city had to pay $15,000 last year to settle a lawsuit against Solis for pepperspaying a group of friends at a graduation party. Solis even said, "anybody else? Anybody else want it?"

Solis was demoted from Sergeant back to officer after sources say he violated a restraining order a woman had against him after she turned down his romantic advances.

No one from the city or the police department would speak on camera. It is unknown when the internal affairs investigation into the officers’ actions will be complete or if they will be punished further by the city.

The DA’s office says it has not decided if Surran and Solis will be charged.

Connor Rice's case for aggravated battery is still pending.
