Vote to come down on Spice legislation

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A crack down on the new drug Spice is expected to go before the Albuquerque city council Monday night.

Even though the synthetic marijuana is illegal in New Mexico, one city councilor says more needs to be done to keep it off the streets.

At Monday night’s meeting, Councilor Debbie O’Malley plans to introduce legislation to shutdown businesses that sell it.

It would give them three strikes, then revoke the store's business license if caught selling the illegal drug.
