ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A veterinarian who was the focus of a KRQE News 13 Special Assignment report has been convicted of numerous animal control violations.
Reporter Kim Holland showed last summer how Debra Clopton had more than the five animals allowed at her house in Rio Rancho.
She was found guilty Tuesday of two counts of having more animals than permitted, 10 counts of not having her animals licensed, nine counts of not having them vaccinated for rabies and a single count of hindering an officer.
Clopton was fined $740 and given 23 hours community service.
The state veterinary board revoked her license a year ago.
