RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - While serving a narcotics warrant at the Arrowhead Ridge Apartments in Rio Rancho around midnight, police found two pipe bombs in the apartment.
Albuquerque Police Department's bomb squad was called out to the scene immediately and 10 apartments were evacuated as a precaution.
The bomb squad finally disrupted the bombs - which means they safely detonated them. Police have two male suspects in custody, a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old.
The main entrance to the apartment complex is closed, but the north gates are open so people can leave. School buses will pick up on the street outside the complex.
