ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The search is on for two teens who escaped from a state juvenile facility in Albuquerque Monday morning.
Richard Winters, 17, had been sentenced out of San Juan County, and David Baroz was sentenced in Otero County.
The pair escaped from the Albuquerque Reintegration Center at 4000 Edith Boulevard NE.
Winters was serving time on alcohol and drug charges and for disorderly conduct. Baroz was sentenced for resisting and obstructing an officer and larceny charges.
The state Children, Youth and Families Department, which oversees the facility, has not said how the two escaped or whether they are considered to be dangerous.
Baroz and Winters both have gang affiliations, according to
CYFD.
