ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - An 8-month-old baby was one of two people killed in a crash in northeast Albuquerque Sunday evening.
A motorcycle and a four dour sedan crashed just before seven p.m. at the intersection of Menaul and Ambassador.
Police say the motorcyclist was eastbound on Menaul when he broadsided the car which was making a left turn on Ambassador.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. He died at the scene.
The driver of the car was not seriously injured. However a baby secured in a car seat in the back seat of the sedan suffered major injuries. The child died at UNM Hospital.
Police say speed was a factor in crash.
The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
