Trial underway for woman who assaulted police
Woman being brought to trial for 16 hour standoff

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The trial is underway for Inga Gutierrez who was involved in the 16 hour standoff in Ortero County three years ago.
Gutierrez is being charged with eight counts of second degree felonies of assaulting a peace officer.
The 2009 standoff started after sheriff’s deputies tried to serve an eviction notice at the Gutierrez home in Alamogordo.
Gutierrez's husband, Miguel, was found shot to death, which was eventually ruled as a suicide.
Inga Guiterrez was found in the home, heavily armed and wearing a bullet proof vest.
