AZTEC, N.M. (KRQE) - Jury selection is underway in Aztec today in the trial for the first man charged with branding a Nazi symbol into a man's arm.

William Hatch has pleaded not guilty to federal hate-crime charges.

Hatch and two others are charged with kidnapping and assaulting Vincent Kee in April 2010. They're accused of branding the mentally disabled Navajo man and shaving a swastika on his head.

The other defendants in the case still face trial.

If convicted, Hatch could get more than 30 years in prison.
