    ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The trial of the young mother who police claim admitted to suffocating her little boy at an Albuquerque playground has been delayed until March 2011.

    Tiffany Toribio was supposed to face a jury on a murder charge in October 2010. However, the defense asked for more time to prepare. Police said Toribio killed her three-year-old son Ty at Alvarado Park then buried him in sand under a jungle gym.

    The two were homeless and she told police she did not want her son to have a rough childhood.

    There is not indication so far that the defense will try to show Toribio is incompetent.
