ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Thieves in a utility truck have been hitting Smith's stores in southeast Albuquerque and making off with propane tanks, Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers is reporting.
The thieves target the storage cages in front of the stores where the loaded exchange tanks for grills and other uses are stored.
One suspect is in custody, and police are looking for help in identifying the second suspect seen in the surveillance photos.

Anyone with information on the crime or suspects can contact Crime Stoppers at 843-STOP (843-7867) or visit the Crime Stoppers website . Tipsters do not have to give their names to be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
