ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico State Police have identified the man found dead in Caballo Lake as a 19-year-old man from Las Cruces.
On Saturday Caballo Lake State Park employees were notified that Omar Sanchez, 19, was missing.
NMSP sent investigators and a dive team to assist in the search and on Sunday crews located a body in the water near the campground Sanchez was staying.
At this time OMI is working to determine whether drowning was the cause of death.
