LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) - A former Valencia High School football player who witnessed a sexual hazing incident but did nothing to stop it was sentenced Tuesday to probation.
Curtis Peralta was among three teens charged in connection to the April 2011 assault of a fellow teammate.
That boy was held down and sodomized by Jeremiah Carroll and Jake Sanchez .
Peralta witnessed it but didn't report it or stop it.
He later pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The judge gave Peralta 18 months of probation with a conditional discharge, meaning if he follows his probation the charge will be dropped from his record.
Sanchez and Carroll both got two years of probation.
