Teen run over in Hastings parking lot

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - A fight between two teens in a video store ended after one of those teens ran the other over with his car Monday night.

Police say Brian Varela, 18, ran over the other teen in the parking lot of the Hastings in Rio Rancho.

Officials believe Varela and the other teen had been fighting inside the store and decided to take things outside.

The man run over is expected to recover.

Varela was charged with aggravated battery.
