ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police have released the name of the person killed in a crash in front of Cottonwood Mall in northwest Albuquerque Friday night.
He is Timothy Zimmer, 19, Police reported he died at the scene.
Zimmer was a passenger in a car driven by William Langella, 22, who was attempting to turn into the mall from southbound Coors Bypass NW, according to Albuquerque police.
Langella, initially reported in critical condition after being airlifted to UNM Hospital, is now reported in satisfactory condition.
Police said Masoud Khorsand-Sahbai, 53, was headed north on Coors Bypass when he hit Langella's turning car broadside. He suffered minor injuries.
Police are still investigating which driver was at fault and have issued no citations.
A police spokesperson said the case will be turned over to the district attorney to determine what, if any, charges will be filed.
