ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - A 16-year-old girl has pleaded no contest to first-degree murder and other charges in the death of her foster mother last year.
The attorney for Desiree Linares of Roswell told the Albuquerque Journal that his client will be sentenced as a juvenile under terms of the plea agreement made last Thursday. Linares will be kept in CYFD’s custody until she reaches the age of 21.
Linares and another girl were accused in the asphyxiation death of 53-year-old Evelyn Miranda of Hondo valley in June of last year.
