ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A Taos brother and sister went missing Thursday after being picked up by their grandmother who may have taken them out of state, the Taos County Sheriff's Office reports.

Armand and Cecilia Rome, ages 9 and 11, were last seen at their school bus stop. Deputies say they believe their grandmother, Annette Reynolds, has taken the children and is headed to their mother's home in Colorado.

A missing-person alert from the New Mexico Department of Public Safety did not detail the custodial status of the children's parents.

Cecelia is a 5 feet 5 inches tall, weights about 110 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Her brother is a 5 feet 2 inches, 90 pounds and also has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with questions or information on the case can contact Taos County Undersheriff Edwardo Romero at (575) 758-2216.
