ALBQUERQUE (KRQE) - A SWAT stand-off woke up residents in a northeast Albuquerque neighborhood Thursday morning.

Police first responded to a call of someone suspicious looking into cars at the High Ridge apartments on Indian school.

When officers arrived, a man ran into an apartment and refused to come out, saying he had outstanding warrants.

Police were able to get a woman and her daughter out of the apartment through a window.

They then called in the SWAT team.

Devan Martinez, 24, later surrendered and was arrested on burglary charges.
