ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A suspected drunk driver caused a crash and nearly hit two kids Sunday.
Police were called out to a house on Isleta in southwest Albuquerque, where the driver appeared to be passed out at the wheel.
Officers said they tried to wake up the driver, 41-year-old Frederick Torivio and when they did he tried to punch an officer in the face.
A witness said Torivio jumped in a car that wasn't his and started doing doughnuts in the dirt, nearly taking out two kids who were playing in the yard.
Torivio was then arrested and charged with child abuse and aggravated assault.
