ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man is in jail Sunday night, after leaving a trail of destruction in a mall parking lot and sending a cop to the hospital.

This all started just after 12 o’clock Sunday afternoon, when Coronado Center security noticed a suspicious van.

When APD tried to stop the van, it took off at a high rate of speed injuring an Albuquerque police officer.

That's when the suspect hit about six cars with the van before crashing through a fence.

The man then took off on foot, before cops used a stun gun on him in ABQ Uptown.

The officer that was injured was taken to hospital with a foot injury, but should be okay.

Police believe the van may have been stolen and had lots of goods inside, including Louis Vutton purses.
