SANTA FE (KRQE) - The 18-year-old man considered the prime suspect in two Christmas Night murders is armed, dangerous and on the lam, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.
Joe C. Rivera is believed to have been in a fight with the two men he gunned down outside a home on Valle Vista Court south of Santa Fe at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
John Griego, 23, died at the scene while Nicholas Baker, 29, was pronounced dead on arrival at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center.
Investigators have not revealed what sparked the confrontation. Both victims were shot more than once.
The arrest warrant issued for Rivera late Wednesday carries a $1 million cash-only bond.
Rivera is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 148 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.
